How Much Delta-8 Does it Take to Get High?

The dosage threshold for Delta-8 THC will vary from person to person. Some people may experience psychoactive effects after taking as little as 5-10 mg, while others may need to take 20 mg or more for a substantial effect. Delta-8 THC flower is essentially a hemp bud that has been sprayed with Delta-8 distillate. When using a vaporizer, it is recommended to start with 1-5 milligrams or 1-3 puffs.

Dosing Delta-8 THC flower may be more difficult as the distillate may not be evenly distributed throughout the flower. For example, our CBD+Delta 8 oil contains 930 mg of CBD and 840 mg of Delta 8 THC in each 30 ml bottle. A half dropper filled with oil is usually a good starting point, as each half full dropper (1 ml) contains 15-16 mg of CBD and 14 mg of Delta 8 THC. The amount of Delta-8 THC you need to consume largely depends on your tolerance.

If you are a frequent smoker, your tolerance will be much higher than that of a beginner. While generally safe, it is possible to take too much of any cannabinoid, including Delta 8 THC products. If you start to feel anxious or lose consciousness while taking Delta 8, stop taking it and seek medical attention immediately. The average single dose is usually around 15-45 mg.

If your tolerance has increased beyond this point, you may want to try slightly higher doses or take a break from using Delta 8 for some time before starting again. This will reduce your body's tolerance and allow you to feel the same effects at the same dose. The main benefit of Delta-8 THC is that it causes much milder physical or mental sensations (often compared to a “buzz”) without many of the side effects associated with Delta-9.
